Sunifiram (DM-235) Powder is a racetam cognitive enhancer with nootropic effects. Its potency is significantly higher than piracetam. Its brain enhancing capabilities have been proven in clinical research on test animals, and is widely accepted in the alternative health community. In the class of racetams, it is a piperazine derivedampakine-like drug, with a number of related compounds, such as unifiram (DM-232).
According to clinical research on animal test subjects, it has been determined that Sunifiram has a host of potential benefits. Some of these potential benefits include:
- Improved decision making
- A greater ability to convert short-term memory into long-term memory
- Improved motor skills via increased control over muscle contraction
- Enhanced memory and retention of learned information and activities
Sunifiram is water soluble. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from excess light. Once opened, keep the product in the original packaging and the compounds will stay fresh for many years.
Mechanisms of Action
Sunifiram activates AMPA-mediated neurotransmission. It enhances LTP in a bell-shaped dose–response relationship. This enhancement by sunifiram is associated with an increase in phosphorylation ofAMPAR through activation of protein kinase II(CaMKII) and an increase in phosphorylation ofNMDAR through activation of protein kinase C α(PKCα). More specifically, sunifiram stimulates the glycine-binding site of NMDAR with concomitant PKCα activation through Src kinase. Enhancement of PKCα activity triggers hippocampal LTP through CaMKII activation.
Sunifiram improves cognitive deficits via CaM kinase II and protein kinase C activation. PKC activation may be a common mechanism amongst cognition stimulating drugs from different chemical classes. Sunifiram aids in the release of acetylcholine in the cerebral cortex.
